can't get on wireless network with password

I'm sharing a network with someone in my building who has WEP encryption, and I can't get online with his password. I have an Orinoco Silver AirPort card, and a G3 Powerbook with OS 9.2.2. I'm able to get a signal on the AirPort card, but when I type his password an error comes up. He also gave me a 26 digit number to try, but that didn't work either. Other AirPort users in the building are able to get onto the network without any problems.
Any ideas? Thanks

Try that 25 digit number with a $ in front of it

The Orinoco Silver card (most models) only support 64-bit encryption, IIRC. The Gold models support 128-bit encryption, which is what your router is using.
