Hey guys, heres my basic situation. I'm an employee in a family business and we currently use spreadsheets to maintain tenant records. What I would like to do is be able to edit the records without having them download to the users computer. Currently I have the ssh ports opened on my router (Dlink di 624) in my router and I can connect with fugu or the command line.

However when I press "edit" in fugu it wants to use bbeedit. I would like for the default program for a given file to open instead, which in this case would be microsoft excel. This is because I do not want the users of the ssh connection to download the files because a) they would have a copy b) these people are older so there may be problems in telling them to re-upload the copies. Basically what I want is for my imac to act as a network drive of in which the spreadsheets can edit the files without having to download them and they can edit them as they please while only having one copy. If someone could think of a good method to do such a method either using ssh or not please send a reply to this thread.

Sincerely
Boban Nikolic
CCCC- Serbs should know what that means
