I admit that much of this is my own doing. In my attempt to solve the "not automatically connecting to the network" problem introduced by Tiger, with my PB, I played around with resetting the base station, changing it from LAN to WAN and back again and a few other things.

Now, unfortunately, my network name has completely disappeared. In its place is one that says "Apple," with a bunch of letters and numbers. This one actually works (although it doesnt' connect automatically either!) but my original one is gone, gone, gone. I can't even figure out how to create a new network, because I just get a funny looking symbol in the menu bar and it doesn't work. On top of that, printing -- even from my desktop, which is connected via USB to the AEBS -- also is kaput.

But when I installed Tiger I did an archive and install. I was thinking that if I could replace the new settings with the old ones, I could at least go back to my own network name, etc., and then start from there (or wait for Apple ti fix this in the new update).

Question -- EXACTLY what settings or preference files should I replace from the archived ones? And will this work at all?

Thanks. I'm commencting a desktop with a PB, via AEBS.
