Hey all - I'm using my new G5 in my studio and my old G4 as an office computer in my office (upstairs.) My email client of choice is Eudora 6.2. I check email via POP (yahoo mail.) I'm wondering if there's anyway to have Eudora open on both computers showing the same, current messages, etc. Basically, I'd like to have two ACTIVELY syncronized copies going at once, as I'm back and forth between the two computers all day long. Any pointers? I'd be willing to switch email clients if that'll make a big difference. Also, would IMAP help here? Thanks for any advice.

Dr P

P.S. I've worked with VNC a little bit, that was going smoothly, just would rather not deal with the screen redraws....Thanks!

IMAP would be ideal, because it was designed to work in that environment. Some POP3 clients allow you to "leave mail on the server", which you would need to enable on only one of your clients. If you enable it on both, then your mailboxes will fill up and be out of space.

Thanks for your response! Is there a link you can give me that would be an IMAP primer in essence? I just have no idea where to even start with that....

Thanks!

IMAP is just as easy to setup as POP3. You just need to create an IMAP account when you make a new one (most mail clients won't allow you to convert between the two). You also need to have IMAP support on the server, which I'm not sure if Yahoo! supports (?)
