I've been using Location Manager since I got my iBook. It really rocks, each location is set up to connect to a specific wireless network so I never have to go fishing in the Airport menu. But if I remember correctly, since about 10.4 or maybe 10.4.1, when I open/wake up my ibook, it makes me authenticate before it will reconnect to a wireless network automatically. What the hell is the deal with that? Its driving me nuts, is there a way I can eliminate this? Why is it even doing it in the first place?

It's not a Tiger-specific problem, my PowerBook running 10.3.9 does the same thing. I have it set to connect to a specific network, and the key is stored in the keychain, but I still have to select the network SSID and reconnect after waking from sleep.

Have you tried checking/repairing the keychain?

These are all open networks, there is no key/password to connect to them.
