Ok so I just got a Wireless-G from Linksys the most typical router I guess... Anyhow I have it hooked up to my cable modem on my Dell, I have that in my basement and my main computers are on the top floor 2 floors up, anyhow I do own 2 PB's and they get depending on time of day 2-5 bars. Now my question is I just purchased an Airport Extreme Card for my Powermac 2.3 G5 and for some odd reason the Powermac is not recognizing the Linksys network, now I know there is a signal up here cause my PB's get full bars most of the time... So what can I do to get this thing working???

Did you plug the airport antenna that came with your powermac into the airport antenna slot on the back of you powermac?

Also make sure the airport card is inserted all the way into the airport card slot in your powermac. You have to push it pretty hard to get it in there. If you did this, and the two things mentioned above, and still no signal, then you airport card is probably bad. The power mac's get a lot better reception than the powerbooks, so if you get a signal on your powerbook you should definatly get one on your powermac. I would call apple tech support, and they will either help you out, or tell you to get a new card.

Maybe it just liked being touched. Electronics can be weird that way. My "laying on hands" has fixed more electronic equipment than I can count. However, reseating a card often makes contacts that were not quite touching make real contact and thus corrects a problem. The same is true for the antenna cable.
