hello all,

i need to setup a vpn solution in a small office environment. anybody got any suggestions on a good vpn router that doesn't require much setup and works with the mac of course. the office get internet via dsl.

I would recommend a Cisco PIX 501 for a connection like that, or perhaps a Netscreen(Juniper) 5XP. They both have pretty straight forward web interfaces for configuration. Cisco PIX are not very management interface friendly for a Mac which may present a problem if you choose PDM as oppossed to CLI for a management solution.

If you want to spend half as much and get a really great router (built on linux of all things) get a Cyberguard SG300 - works for me! Supports PPTP client and server and L2TP client and server, plus IPSec etc. etc.

In my opinion better than Cisco because you don't need to use the special Cisco client!
