Hi. I am in tokyo, living in a communal living space.
the building has these white ufo type Airmac extreme stations planted around the place.
I have a PC tower, but have no clue how to get connected to the internet.
I asked a few people, they told me I could get some kind of USB device to
connect to the back of my computer. However I went to the local appliance store and
they said that none of the devices would work with a PC to Airmac thing.
So first of all..is it possible to do this?
Secondly could anyone tell me what I should buy?
thanks ALOT

AirMac is simply the name Apple uses for their 802.11 wireless networking products in Japan. ANY 802.11 compliant device should work with AirMac equipment as long as it conforms to the same Japanese national communications standards as the AirMac.

Any 802.11 B or G USB wireless device you can buy in Japan should work with the AirMac equipment in your building. Once you install it on your PC and load any drivers that are required, it should detect the network and configure itself.

It appears that in Japan, as here in the States, people who sell PC products refuse to learn anything about Macs. Their loss.
