I have a 12" iBook and I mainly use the Airport express to connect to my Wireless Linksys router.

First off, if I try to connect to my PC I get a error message on the Mac that says "The alias could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found" What's going on there, sounds like a bad Alias or something.

and 2nd I would like to know how to make it so the iBook's internal IP is the same all the time. If I can't connect to my PC reliably, I want a easy way to figure out the iBook's IP so I can connect from the PC.

You need to assign your iBook a static IP address. Configure IPv4 "Manually" under Network Preferences and then enter the appropriate values. Linksys' website should provide instructions on how to set your router.
