Getting SCSI AFP Volumes To Show Up Consistantly Across Network

I have a Power Mac G4 with 4 hard drives inside. Two of these are SCSI volumes (U2W via Initio Miles U2W card), and it seems that I can't consistantly get the SCSI volumes to show up across the network. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks!
