Hi. I have a G4 imac (OSX 10.4.2) connected to an ADSL modem/router and a Ti PB (OSX 10.4.2)
connected to the same router via an Airport Express.
I'm struggling to connect the two for file transfers (using the Go menu)
File sharing is enabled on both. I can connect as a guest to the drop boxes of each Mac but that is all. Some time ago I could direct to the hard disks. (I can use Target disk mode but that's not what I want)
Is this a problem with ownerships and permissions? I can't seem to change "others" from just Read Only".

So, you can't connect as a Registered User?
Did Schroedinger's cat think outside the box?

Correct. People on another forum have suggested I need to use the freeware "Sharepoints" since
OSX is flaky in this respect.

To see disks, you need to use an admin login.
