Can you connect a USB hub to an Airport Extreme station? How many connections can be made if it is possible?

A USB hub? You mean to connect more than one printer? Nope.

Only the special "power over ethernet" version of the AEx BS allows use of a hub to share up to 4 printers.

Did you perhaps mean using an ethernet hub or switch to add more computers to the network? That has effectively no limits.
