i have googled forever and have done it once in the past, can someone please link me to the post/page that tells you exactly how to share internet out of your mac into your xbox. thanks

Or, if you're not using a wireless router or AirPort, simply turn on Internet Sharing in the Sharing system preferences pane. Follow the steps in the above thread link to configure your Xbox system.
