Hi, I've done a search and I can't quite find an answer to this. I have a desktop PC and a couple wireless iBooks sharing an cable internet connection through an old Linksys BaseStation. The setup is as follows:

Internet -> Linksys Basestation -> PC (ethernet) + iBooks (wireless)

I'd like to get a printer to use with all computers (looks like it's going to be be the HP2310). So, the questions is whether I can just plug the Printer (which has an ethernet connection) into one of the open ports on the Linksys and then print from both the PC and the iBooks.

Sounds a little too simple and I'm envisioning some problems (i.e., do I need a separate Print Server, etc...). Any thoughts?

That should be all you need to do. Ethernet printers (with VERY, VERY few exceptions, HP not being one) have built in print servers.

Yes, it should work just as you planned. I use an HP PSC 2610 with several PowerMacs and an iBook and it has been flawless.
