I'm in a mess. I have a broadband router, connected to a linksys wre54g range expander. My two pcs (win 2k and xp) love it, and roam happily. My new pb however, will recognise the wireless network, but will not browse the internet on it, whenever I launch Safari it says 'You are not connected to the internet'. Why oh why? My pcs 'just work', but no luck on the mac... It works in my local wi-fi coffee house.
Rebooting everything does not help.

Welcome to the MacNN forums. I'd like to help, but I think we'll need more information.

Let's start with how your PowerBook is configured, specifically its AirPort configuration. You say it works in WiFi coffee houses, and that could be part of your problem; you may need to simply delete those locations and start fresh with NO locations.

More importantly, before you delete previous configs, is how you've set up your home unit. Is it open, or did you provide some security? If so, 40- or 128-bit? What are you entering in the dialog box which appears when you select that WiFi network?
