Hi. I'm new her and new to wireless networking. looking for some help.
I have a dlink di-624 wireless rutor and want to connect my iboob G4 with osx10.4.3 with air port exrtem. I want to use wpa for security. When i set up the rutor and use no security i can surf the net fine with the wireless rutor but when i try to use wpa and put the same pasword in my rutor and ibook. i go to system prefences and i get this message in the air port tap "airport is connected to the network test. Air port has a self-assigned ip address and may not be able to connect to the inter net". What does this mena. how would i go buy hocking it all up.
Yep i am telling it to use wpa on both ends. I updated the firm ware like you said and that worked. i had version 2.53 and put 2.71 on it. thanks for the help.
