We have 2 computers, A 1Ghz PowerBook running Tiger and and old iBook running Panther, both running the old airport cards. I have an Airport Extreme Base station. My wife was prompted for an update last nite & ran it on her iBook. Since then, the iBook will not go wireless but my Powerbook has no problem. The iBook/Panther uses Internet Connect. Since the update when I try to run Internet Connect I get the spinning beachball of death that just goes on forever. I've run through the Setup Assistants and checked the settings between the 2 computers and still no luck. I've tried rebooting the computer and the Airport basestation. Any ideas out there? Thanx!

Restart. Maybe twice. Do it until the iBook prompts for permission to transfer keychain information. It happened to us yesterday too. For some reason after the update the OS didn't shake out all the wrinkles and it didn't reestablish all the linkages. After two (yes two) restarts, my wife's iBook finally asked to transfer keychain keys, and then it all "just worked." This was a real bummer, but that's all it took to get back online.

I kept seeing a keychain prompt come up JUST as the computer was shutting down which made me curious. When i got up this morning I re-installed the Airport Extreme Update 2005 Driver Update (from a download instead of thru Software Update), restarted, was presented w/the Keychain prompt again (and this time able to make a choice) and now everything is running smoothly! Glenn, I have seen many of your responses on this site - you are amazing! Thanks so much for providing such great assistance to people. - Bart
