Hi,

I have an eMac desktop and a PC laptop. In my eMac I have an Airport Card and in the PC some generic wireless card. I would like to share my dial-up internet access through my Airport Card and I have made all the chages in the eMac system preferences to do that. Unfortunately, when the network is broadcasted and my laptop picks it up, Windows XP asks for a Network Key (WEP). I tried following Apple's online instructions for multiplatform password set-up, but I have yet to get my PC to use the eMac signal.

I'm not using a base station, just my eMac with its card. Can anyone help!? I'm hoping there is a trick to this that I'm just missing.

Thanks,

Brandon

Just to make sure everything is working okay, turn off WEP and try connecting your XP machine without the wireless signal being encrypted.

That would at least narrow the problem down to an encryption issue.
