Apple's knowledge base is your friend. A search for "equivalent password" turned up the right article. Look near the bottom; step by step directions are right there.

The Article says airport converts the password to the hexadecimal format.

My problem is I cannot get to the airport because it is in another country. I need another way to convert my password into the hexadecimal format and the only way I can think of is to convert it with someone elses airport utility.

So, can someone please convert pw: lordship into the hexadecimal formats?

thanks for any help

I pasted in the wrong link. Sorry! It's this one. At the bottom, it explains how to convert the password to hex manually.

Or you could use WEP Key Maker--it's a nice little utility to have.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.
