A google search on application nmbd brings up a lot of info about this issue. If you're not using Windows file sharing, then turn it off in system preferences.

You actually have the scenario reversed, it's the outside clients that are trying to get into your network/computer. Your samba service is wanting to respond to those requests. A lot of this activity is attributed to MSN-chat spam.

A couple of things to try would be firewalling UDP activity related to samba (plenty of info. available on how to do this), disabling Windows file sharing, if you haven't already, or routing the traffic to your loopback address (a Google search will help you do this as well).

Good luck.
