Just got a new Macbook Pro. Tried to connect it to my existing home 802.11b wirelss network with NO success, so I got a new 802.11g wireless access point and now all my computers (PCs which worked with the old 802.11b, and the new Mac) are happy and communicating.

Then I tried to connect the new Macbook to other 802.11b networks with NO success. Is there something basic I am missing here? These wireless networks are all unencrypted and work fine with my XP notebook!! Networks are visible on Macbook and all indicate high signal, but when going thru the connect diagnostics, the top three green lights are OK, but the ISP light turns red indicating that there is no connection!!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Stan
