I have a powerbook G4 running 10.4.5 and a netgear WGT624 (v2) wireless router. For almost a year I've used this setup just fine with WEP encryption, but decided to upgrade to WPA encryption (much more secure). Can't get it to work. I set the router to WPA-PSK (the only WPA option on this router) and select either WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal on the Mac, and try to log into the network and get the error "The selected network does not support this type of encryption." Doesn't matter whether SSID broadcast is enabled or not.

Any thoughts on how to get this to work?

Ummm - never mind. The problem was resolved by resetting the router (using the reset button, not just a power off). WPA now enabled!

Sometimes these things happen. Resetting with the button actually reboots the device differently from the way it does from power-cycling.

How's spring in Ann Arbor so far? This part of the year is when I miss Michigan a lot, because it's going to be over 90 today here in Central Texas.
