Hey ive got a speedtouch broadband modem and its usb connection.
Ive purchased a airport extremehow do i connect the two?

You can't. Airport Extreme does not support USB modems.

Talking to a computer guy there only for a few seconds and he was telling me theres some way of connecting the modem to the computer and then the airport?
Im only looking it to go wireless around the house for my laptop?

Assuming that OSX supports your USB modem, you could connect the modem to your Mac and then use a wifi card in your Mac to share the connection wirelessly or plug the Airport Extreme into your Mac's ethernet port and share that way. The former option should be a bit cheaper given the (ridiculous) price of the Airport Extreme Base Station.

Hey yea im using the usb modem at the moment so its supported and ive already go the airport extreme base stationn anyone like to explain in a bit of detail how t set it up?

Send the Speedtouch modem back and ask for an ethernet modem. Lie if you have to; tell 'em your USB port is hosed or something, tell 'em "a technician with over 25 years experience in electronics and computers (that's me) says it won't work with your computer," but refuse a USB modem. They cause a lot of problems for you, even beyond the fact that they tend to be slower than ethernet modems.

Hey guys right was talking ot BT and they wont send a modem however i connected the airport via th ethernet port and then i went to my laptop and saw that it was giving my ibook full signal in the connection window.
I hadnt installed the airport base station to my imac all i had done was plugged it in.
However when i tryed to go on the internet on the ibook clicking on firefox nothing loaded?
Was i to connect anything else up all i know is its sasying i have full signal on the airport what do i do next?

Hey umm im trying to reset the password for the base station at the moment but when i hold the reset button in for 5 seconds theres no flash and no change to the settings?
