My friend has a 1.42GHz Mac mini connected to his cable broadband service through an ethernet connection. For the past couple of weeks, every day at least once a day he loses his internet connection. Obviously he is losing the IP address because when I have him disconnect/reconnect his modem after a couple of times he can get online again. The question is why is he losing his IP address and is there something he can do to keep from losing it or is it the cable companies fault?
