Hello everybody, I'm new here and need help with a networking problem.
First of all, here is my setup: I have an old "clamshell" ibook connected via airport to an U.S. Robotics 9106 wireless router. This iBook shares the internet connection to a G3 blue and white tower, via the preference pane ("sharing" -> "internet" -> "from airport to ethernet"). Both computers run OsX Tiger.
I use the iBook mainly to get the internet connection to the G3 (the router is in another room and I can't use an ethernet cable to connect it directly) and for small computing tasks, my main computer is the G3 tower.
Now I run azureus (a bittorrent client) on the G3, which to work properly requires port fowarding. I managed to foward the port I use in azureus using
this tutorial, but that only worked on the iBook. I gave the iBook a fixed IP address and it works. The same thing doesn't work on the G3, and I suppost that's because its internet connection is coming from the iBook.
Is there a way to set up the iBook so that it will foward itself the port to the G3? I'd like to have that port fully open for both TCP/UDP on the G3, even if it's behind a router AND the iBook. How do I do that?
Thank you for reading through this, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks very much.
