hi,
Right now the only available connection to the internet in my new airport is wirelessly. My room mate has a wireless router which is great for my powerbook, but his room is too far to run an ethernet cable for my powermac. Outside of buying a really expensive airport card, or wireless USB adapter, my only option to get the internet working on my powermac is to share it over my powerbook.
Problem is, I can't get it to work. Right now I have a powerbook that is connected to the wireless network via airport. I turned on internet sharing, selected 'share to ethernet port' and then I connected up my ethernet cable from my powerbook to my powermac. Whenever I hook up the ethernet cord into the powerbook, it automatically tries to use the internet over the ethernet port and all of a sudden the powerbook as no internet.
How do I set it up so that it bridges (is that the right word?) from my airport to my ethernet, so that I can get internet on both powerbook and powermac from the powerbook's airport?
Help!!
