Alright, two quick questions, partially related to networking. I'm tired of reading my server's logs through Pico, but I haven't found a good log reader that I like. What does everyone else use?

and

I'd like to set up a simple VPN server for fun, but I don't have OS X server. Is there any free VPN server software out there, or am I stuck?

No one reads their server logs? Or uses VPN?

gkrellmd sounds like it would be perfect for you. There is a logwatch plugin for gkrellm, and gkrellm will allow all sorts of other monitoring too, it's quite nice.

tail -f is also handy for monitoring logs.

What do you need that VPN would provide? Perhaps port forwarding would provide you with the functionality you need?

I was actually hoping for some nice streamlined GUIs. I'm trying to get away from the command line.
My roommate already has the router set to forward certain ports to his server, and I want to get into more than one of my computers, so I can't just forward stuff to a single one. VPN isn't really a necessity, I just thought it would be fun to play with if it was free.
