How can i use WPA2 Personal with my MacBook? These are the settings i've made with no success:

WRT54GX2
- Security mode: WPA/WPA2 Personal
- WPA Personal: Disable
- WPA2 Personal: Enable
- Encryption Algorithms: TKIP
- Personal Key: thepasswordimadeup
- Group key renewal: 3600 seconds

MacBook
- Network name: mynetwork
- Wireless security: WPA2 Personal
- Password: thepasswordimadeup

I've tried the same just enabling WPA Personal but it does the same thing: my MacBook sees the connection and keeps trying to get the status and then signal strength goes to 0, then back to full strength and then tries to get the status again. rinse. repeat.

I have used linksys routers for years without issue but this is the first time i have investigated any kind of security. Hopefully there is just a setting i am screwing up. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

I was having the same problem until I changed the SSID. It looks like when I upgraded from my old router to the new one OS X's keychain was alternating using WPA2 and WEP to connect to the network.
