i got this iBook G4
but the main prob is that i do not know how to use it to scan for wireless network in the region
can someone guide me?
i am a complete computer idiot, so give me detailed instruction.

Just turn on the Airport card which is done via the Airport menu item you'll find somewhere near the right-top corner of your screen. Once turned on it automatically detects and lists the networks in its range.

If you're talking about wardriving type activities, just do a Google search on it to find the necessary OS X software for such a thing.
