Hello all! I'm new and have some wireless questions, I have an iMac right now and was thinking about getting a MacBook, if I get one can I hook up a wireless card to it, like I can right now with my Dell, just pop the card in from my dell into the mac? Or do i need to do anythign else?
Thank you!

All MacBooks come with wireless pre-installed, there is no need to buy any card.

If you mean one of those cardbus cards from the cell phone carriers like Sprint & Verizon then no, not with a MacBook. The MacBooks do NOT have a cardbus slot at all. If it is really important to you, then you'll need to upgrade to a MacBook Pro laptop which does have the CardBus slot.

Of course another option is just using Bluetooth with a BT-enabled cell phone along with an Internet plan from your cell phone provider and you can have wireless net access on the road.

Nope, those cards require a CardBus slot, there are no CardBus to USB/Ethernet adapters.

The Express Card slot in a MacBook ONLY takes Express Cards. And right now the market has about 3 express cards, none of which will do what you want. Wait a while and that will change...

In the meantime, look into using your cell phone instead. From what I've seen, most cell plans are quite competitive with the same carrier's WiFi-only data plans.
