I'm looking for a good cable modem. I rent one now from Comcast and will be returning it. I use a Netgear Rangemax router and really like it... anyone know of any Netgear cable modems, or other user friendly brands? I installed a Linksys network for the in-laws and hate the user interface on Linksys.

How often do you have to deal with the user interface? Just set it up (like that's a major pain) and forget it.

ANY DOCSIS cable modem will do; Motorola's are well regarded, but so are Linksys' and Netgear's.

I've been very happy with my Motorola SB5100. Works perfectly with Comcast and my Netgear router.
