Hi. I am a new mac user, with a macbookpro. I switched over from a PC Desktop (which i still use)and am having trouble setting up my internet connection.
My pc is connected to the internet using a cable modem....and my airport is connected to the modem via ethernet.
Now, my airport is working and i can use the internet through the mac, but my pc connection is not working.
If anyone can offer my some advice on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Is your PC connected to the cable modem via USB?
Most modems with USB and ethernet can't have both interfaces used at the same time.

You should get a router, I got mine for 20 Euros off ebay: much easier to configure and you don't run into any problems sharing a connection.

Router all the way. It's simpler and easier to set up than you can possibly imagine, and ANY router will support both the PC and the Mac. If you want wireless connectivity, then a somewhat more expensive wireless router is what you want-also extremely simple to get set up (with a few less simple things to do).

Since he's already using an Airport Express, the configuration becomes more complicated, because he'd need to chain the APEx through the wired router, and disable DHCP/NAT on the APEx so he can share between the two computers.
