There is something wrong w/ my mbp's wifi.

It won't see my home network at all. I had to connect it manually and it keeps saying it won't connect. Then the network re-appears. And when I do connect, it asks me for the WEP key. The weird thing is, the pw is set for 64 bit and i have to select 128 bit when i connect over the notebook.

Something is going on here and i can't figure out what.

Er hem... Networking issues of all kinds go in the NETWORKING forum.

With that said, it's probably NOT your MBP that's going weird. It's much more likely that someone nearby has a new wireless network with the same default network name (the SSID) as yours.

Any other changes in and around your place? New neighbors? New cordless phone?

Opps, sorry 'bout the wrong forum.

You could be right about the problem, but nothing has really changed as of late. I've had the same router or over a year now. All the other computers sharing the same network is fine, that's why I think it may have to do w/ the mbps networking preferences of some sort.
