I am new to the Mac world. I don't know if it just me or something I did. when I use the internet on wireless it is really slow. it will hang for a long time then sork normal. on all my pc the internet works normai. I am using firefox mostly. I tried using safari still getting the same results. any help would be appreicated

supposedly the airport reception on powerbooks is not as good compared to a PC laptop in the same spot. I guess that could be slowing down your speed.

I had this same problem using my MacBook pro on my home wireless network. Painfully slow Web browsing.

My network admin at work had configured my TCP/IP settings (Internet Config) with a DHCP client ID, DNS Servers, and Search Domain (marked "optional" in the config panel). When I removed this information, my wireless browsing speed shot back up to normal levels.

similar problem over here
have a pc and an imac using airport and all that just fine
but...
have a new macbook pro and it shows an internet connection through airport and through cable
but...
cannot connect to the internet
makes no sense at all
help
