It is probably a Dell OEM of Wavelan Silver on which the original AirPort card is based or at leat uses the same chipset therfore the AP driver works with it.

Hi Madison,
I agree that this is likely one of the PCMCIA cards that have the same chipset as the original airport cards and will work using the airport software built into OS X.
From the listing, the seller is giving you a 90 day warranty and specifying that it will work in all the 15 inch G4 Powerbooks. Since its a reasonable price, the seller has 100% feedback and there arent too many alternatives, if I were you, I'd probably buy it using Paypal and a credit card. It should work--but if it didn't work as specified you would have recourse with the seller and ultimately Paypal and your credit card issuer.

Would any other (d-link, belkin, etc.) pcmia cards work on a mac g4-400 powerbook?
I have an airport card in mine, but it gets terrible reception in my livingroom, (my airport base is upstairs in my office), so I thought if I could find a pcmia type card, it might boost my reception.

Typically, the Antennas in PCMCIA cards are rather pathetic, and oriented at the wrong angle. Further, finding working mac PCMCIA 802.11x cards is hard. I'd recommend adding a range extender or a antenna.
