Hi there ive never owned a mac but have bought the new macbook. I live in the UK (not sure if thats important) and I currently have a wireless network setup in my home for two computers. I am running a network through a Belkin USB adapter and a Belkin wireless modem/router combination. I was wondering whether it would be possible to connect my new macbook (im really excited lol ) to this network and recieve an internet connection. O and btw do i need antivirus stuff like for pc? or any other essential software? Any information much appreciated! many thanks Stuart

Wireless is wireless, it all works together whether the computer is Windows, MacOS, or Linux.

And currently, no, you don't have to worry about anti-virus software for your MacBook.

As to essential software, I suggest you check out this site, Main Page - Mac Ach Wiki
