Like the title says, I have an HP 2600N hooked up to a Linksys wireless printserver, going through a Linksys wireless router.

I can't get anything to print from my mac, or my pc for that matter. At least on my pc I can see the printer, but I can't seem to get the mac to see it, much less get the right driver. The printer works great when connected directly with a USB but I would really like everything wireless...

Your help is greatly appreciated!
Anthony

I actually had good luck with Linksys tech support (phone) when I needed help getting my WPS54G up and running. It now works like a charm. Give them a call.

So when you created the LPR print queue to the appropriate IP address and send print jobs to that queue, as per the manual, what happens?

It still doesn't work. I set everything just like it shows on my router IP address, Subnet, Gateway.

I used the LPD setup for the printer with the IP address of the outer and L1 as the Queue...

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

You don't want to print to your router, you want to print to your printer. You need to create a queue on the Mac with your printer's IP address.

So do I manually setup an IP address for my printer? Also, just to make sure I just plug my printer into my wireless router right?

All of this depends on what you have and how it's set up.

Your Linksys manual should have plenty of documentation on this. Have you tried reading that?

Basically, you attach your printer to your wireless print server. You press a button on the wireless print server so that the attached printer prints a config sheet showing what the IP address is on it.

From that point, you need to simply configure your Mac to print to that IP address via an LPR-based print queue.

A possible hassle is the association of the wireless print queue with the wireless router, but since you said your PC can print to the print device when it's wirelessly connected, obviously you've fixed that potential issue.
