I'm having trouble getting on the internet with Win XP within Parallels.

At home, I connect via AirPort; but at work, I run on a wired static IP environment. Within Win XP, if I give a static IP and my work's DNS, I can connect wired at work but cannot connect wirelessly at home. If I take out that info in Network Connections, I can connect while at home but not at work. When on the road, I do want to be able to connect to the internet while at a hotel which can run on dynamic IPs.

The network adapter in Parallels is set to Bridged Ethernet/Default Adapter. What am I doing wrong?

I know when I was on a PBG4 running VPC6.1, Win XP knew how to use the Mac side's network connection without doing anything special.

That's the equivalent of "Host only networking" in Parallels, though it needs a little setup.

How does one do the set up so that Parallels uses whatever network connection is currently in use on the Mac side?

It's in the manual.
