Hey guys

I'm not sure of the proper teminiology -- bridge, repeater, extender.....but that's what I need. I have my original graphite base station hooked up to my cabl emodem, and need to make the network bigger.

Any suggestions?

Most all require compatible hardware that have some kind of shared Wireless Distribution System technology. As far as I know, with consumer-grade stuff you won't get any to work with the original Airport base station.

Keep in mind, you can get Buffalo Tech wireless units for about $40 a piece that will do it all. Not sure if it would be worth your time dinking around with trying to make something work with that Airport Base Station that will likely never work in the end.

Its $40 per unit. One will replace your Airport Base Station the other would be the extender.

This is the unit I'm talking about:

Or you could buy an airport express.
I know it's 120.00 but it would still be good if later you upgraded to an Airport Extreme

Problem is, this user has an original graphite base station, I believe the Airport Expresses ONLY work with Airport Extreme Base Stations for WDS. The AX might stream iTunes music via the graphite base station, but its not going to do any networking extending.

It says in the config that it can be b/g compatable or just g or just b so it should work, I would check on apples web site they should have that in the FAQ. The airport express works with more than the extreame base station it is working right now with my Belking wireless G router and has worked with a wireless G linksys.
