I'm having a weird problem that prevents me from connecting to certain websites (e.g., youtube.com, mozilla.org). Most sites work just fine, but there are a few sites that consistently don't work (Safari gives a 'can't connect to server' error). I'm running 10.4.7.
Attempting to ping these addresses from the Terminal gives 'no route to host'. I thought it might be a DNS caching problem, so I tried to clear the cache using 'lookupd -flushcache', but that didn't help. I also tried from another computer (running Windows XP), and the same sites work fine, so I don't think it's a router or ISP problem.
The next step was to create a new account and try from there, and I do not see the connection problems from the new account. This leads me to believe there is some cache or other file in my main account that is causing problems. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?
Thanks!
