What is the difference between a High-Speed Mode Wireless G Cable/DSL Router and a Wireless 802.11g DSL/Cable Gateway Router??? Would a D-LInk Directional Antenna be compadable and work with either of these? Thanks for the help.

also if a routher says that its windows compadable does that mean you can only set it up with a windows computer, but can still connect with either or are you out of luck with a mac?

All routers should be compatible with all platforms-they conform to IEEE standards, not something invented in Cupertino, or dreamed up in Redmond.

The various companies' proprietary "high speed" equipment that claims higher than 802.11G speeds are a different thing. Go with STANDARD 802.11G hardware until the "N" standard comes out late next year (maybe). If it's standards-based it WILL work-the other stuff is a crap shoot.
