I'm trying to set up a network to do the following:

1) allow me to share iTunes, movies and photos from a shared source over my network (wired and wireless).

2) give me a networked place to back up my computers.

I'm looking at either a NAS (Infrant or Thecus) w/ a gigabit throughput attached to my network OR some other fast alternative (eSATA attached to Mini via USB adapter?).

Which alternative would be best for (1) fast backups and (2) serving music and video over the network?

I'm thinking ahead to using the same source w/ the iTV, which I assume will benefit from the fastest read/write speeds over a network.

Thanks

Robert

The NAS would be the better solution.
