I'm putting alll my music on one large hard disk and want to have different music playing in different rooms in the house. Is there a way to do this? I was told to set up different networks with different airport expresses. Each of these will have to be run by a seprate mac, but they will be able to access the hard disk at the same time, that hard disk will be attached to an airport extreme, (which will also be feeding the internet connection to all the airport expresses as well)
Will that work for getting different songs playing in different rooms at the same time, all off one central, huge hard drive?
AFAIK, one copy of iTunes can drive one Airport Express -- so, as silly as it is, you have to have 2 computers running iTunes to drive two Airport Expresses. You don't need separate networks though, they can all be on the same network.
