is it just the amount of computers that can connect and Airtunes? I need to network an iMac and a Macbook in a 2000 sq ft. home. my daughter would like to be able to take her Macbook outside to surf. that's all of our networking needs at the moment. can anyone give me an idea which Airport would be the better of the two?

The Airport units generally have pretty poor range compared to the other products out there.

I like the Linksys WRT54G for $40 - LINKSYS WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router - Retail at Newegg.com
