Hi Guys,

I have a really annoying problem hopefully someone can help me sort it out.

My ISP uses 1492 as their MTU size, so as per their reccomendations i have in the router set the mtu at 1492.

On the PC's i can easily change the MTU for the wireless cards, and the internet works great.

On the Macs though, up until 10.4.7 it was a simple matter to ifconfig the airports MTU to 1492 and eveything worked great!

But now with the 10.4.8 update, things are not working well at all. Ifconfig reports that i have chanegd the MTU setting successfully but it gives me the old problem i had before i worked out that it was MTU on 10.4.7, apple.com half loads, google.com loads fine, and most other sites don't work at all.

Anyone have any idea why in 10.4.8 this is not working?
