I'm a life-long Mac user who is stuck maintaining a couple of Windows machines on a small mixed network. I have an insanely simple question that's driving me crazy!

How do you look up the MAC address on a Windows machine? (specifically XP)

I can go to the router and find it looking backward, but I'm absoultely stumped finding amid all that maze of control panels and such on the computer itself.

The most obvious path eventually gets me to a control panel for the ethernet card, which offers all sorts of info but not the most basic one: the MAC number.

Help!

(I tried searching for this on several Windows forums, but they're almost as impenetrable as Windows itself)
Dual 1.8 G5 tower w/ Pioneer 112, 4 gb RAM, 500 & 200gb HDs
MacBook Pro 2.16 gHz Core 2 Duo, 4 gb RAM, VM Ware Fusion & Boot Camp installed with Win XP Pro (Previously used Parallels)

Start > Run, type CMD and press ok.
When the command prompt pops up type,
Code:
ipconfig /all
press enter and it'll display all the information about the network adaptors.

There's another command on XP that's more direct for getting MAC addresses. 'getmac' (no quotes) returns the MAC address and the protocols attached to each network device in the computer. It looks like this:
Code:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. E:\>getmac Physical Address Transport Name =================== ========================================================== AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF \Device\Tcpip_{680FF765-B2E3-4269-9AF3-98CB29D43847} 00-11-22-33-44-55 \Device\Tcpip_{2626AE59-4231-46CB-A650-991D9B84F3DB}
The number in brackets is a GUID for that instance of that protocol.
