I've been sending music from my MB to an Airport Express via an Airport extreme base. Every thing has been fine for months, yet last weekend the music would drop-out for 2-30 seconds, then resume only to repeat this scenario

There have not been any changes to the network, MB, or software.

Any suggestions for settings to check?

Should I install the waiting iTunes upgade to v.7.x?

Regards,

Tom P.

I usually reboot my wireless router / cable modem when that happens and it magically goes away.

Wireless routers, wired routers, cable modems, DSL modems, and all AirPort bases of all types are tiny embedded- OS computers. They are usually very reliable, but they are not built to what you'd call "mission critical" standards-especially their OSs. ANY TIME you have odd behavior on your network it's a great idea to power cycle EVERYTHING. Turn it all off and then restart one piece at a time, beginning with the modem and working toward the computers. This is not a true cure-all, but it is a "cure-99% of all" solution.

Thanks for the pointers. I restarted via the Airport software, I'll try a physical restart at each airport unit.
