I would like to get my mom a wireless print-server for Christmas...

The network is comprised of a 2Wire 2700HG-B Gateway which is using WPA-PSK (TKIP) for
wireless security. I am looking for one that will work with this type of security, and also
work with a Mac. I have researched a bit and it doesn't look too promising. Do any of
you know of one which will work, or better yet, what print-servers are working for you
running TKIP flavored WPA? Many thanks in advance - and Merry Christmas!

The print server (USB or parallel) just handles the wireless connection and security and passes data. It does NOT care what computers are passing data through it, nor what printers it's connected to.

What you really need is DRIVERS for your printer that support networking. For Macs, these are sometimes hard to find.

But ANY current 802.11G-capable wireless device will handle WPA-PSK (TKIP) without a fuss.

Hi

I am using the D-link DPR-1260 wireless print server with an unsupported lexmark. Took a bit of fiddling but it is working fine. The trick was to put the port number of the print server in the config panel of the Mac where it states location when configuring the set up for the printer. Hope this helps,

Danni
