This isn't a rumor insider info post, this is just something I'd love. Stand alone AirTunes boxes that didn't have a USB printer port, that could not be used as a wireless access point (or even a wireless extender), and that did not cost $130. I'm thinking $30 - $40 each. Each one would have a pass through power plug. SO you'd plug this into an outlet, and your stereo's power plug could plug into this one. Then out of the side of that plug would be a short thick cable running to a box. That box would be it, just one audio out port and maybe if doable, an ethernet port. Ideally half the size of an airport express, or smaller. Configurable through the Airport Manager just like all the other Airports. Another cool idea would be for apple to liscense out the interface, so radio companies could make radios with this device built right in. So you could automatically stream to your stereo in the other room. It would be standard hardware though so it would all be configurable via AIrport Admin, no crappy half-assed windows only admin utilities :-)

This is roughly what I'm thinking of for it's power connector (only more apple looking):

Only instead of an outlet at the end, the airport box could be there. If course if it wasn't designed like this, we could just but this cable :-)

Apple sells a lot of computers these days and I don't think it would hurt to divvy up and diversify their networking offerings a little bit. (I also think they're regular airport should have more ethernet ports).
