Been getting slow connection service all weekend, then, tonite, the Safari just froze.
Usually what I will do is either restart the iMac, and unplug the Modem for 30 seconds, then all three lites on the Modem go on, it sort just "kicks in" and I am fine. Now, it wont work at all.
What happens now is the ready and ethernet lights both go "on" the modem while the iMac is rebooting, then the ethernet lite goes off, and there is no connection. The power and ready lights stay on.
The Network Diagnostics button that comes up on the Safari screen when there is no connection seems to be a dead end as well.
Have a Westell Wirespeed DSL modem, and tried two of them, same thing happens to both. I also tried two different ethernet cables.
Any ideas
THANKS
